This is the most poisonous version of royal media, because it uses a daughter as the proof of a marriage argument. If the Queen disliked the nickname, that is a family etiquette fight. If Charles has hardly met Lili, that is a consequence of geography, security, and a rift that predates her birth. Neither fact — if you grant the reporting — requires a “documented, airtight pattern” that Harry only discovered when Bower published.

Silence from the palace is ordinary. The palace almost never litigates nicknames on camera. Silence from the Sussexes is also ordinary.
