A recent commentary video circulating online argues that the image of that day was carefully constructed and that several decisions made before and during the wedding have never been fully explained. The video, published by the channel Nova Network, claims that Prince Harry has since begun to address details that were “hidden in plain sight.” The claims remain contested, rest on a mix of public reporting, later interviews, and commentary, and have not been independently verified in full. They have nonetheless revived debate about how the wedding was planned and who was included—or excluded.

### The father who never walked her down the aisle

The most prominent claim in the video concerns Thomas Markle, Meghan’s father. Commentators featured in the piece note that he never had a suit fitted for the wedding. In a conventional wedding, they argue, a bride would typically be involved in that fitting. Thomas Markle was not flown to the United Kingdom in the same way Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, was. He was not, according to the video’s sources, given a meaningful introduction to Harry well in advance of the ceremony.

Days before the wedding, photographs appeared of Thomas Markle at an internet café and being measured by a tailor. The video describes those images as staged paparazzi pictures that provided a public reason to keep him away. The commentary asserts he did not abandon the wedding; he was written out of it. The suggestion is that his presence would have undercut a narrative Meghan had built about her background and family.

Thomas Markle later spoke publicly about feeling used and excluded. Palace statements at the time focused on his health and the media storm around the photographs. The video treats the missing suit fitting as evidence that the decision had already been taken weeks earlier.

### Day guests and night guests

Another claim concerns the guest list. The video says some of Meghan’s former Suits co-stars were invited for daytime photographs so the public would see she had friends and colleagues around her. They were not, according to the same commentary, invited to the evening reception. The stated reason in the video is that Meghan could not risk people who knew her from earlier years talking after a few drinks.

Royal weddings routinely separate the religious service from a more private evening event. Who was invited to which part is a matter of official lists and later reporting. The video presents the split as strategic image management rather than ordinary protocol.

### The Queen’s reported intervention

The commentary also repeats a claim that Queen Elizabeth II was unhappy with Meghan’s behaviour in the period around the wedding and that she telephoned Prince Harry directly. The message, as rendered in the video, was that Meghan “cannot behave like this.”

If accurate, that would cut against a later Sussex narrative that problems came mainly from anonymous courtiers or “the institution.” A direct call from the Queen would place the concern at the very top of the family. The video treats this as a turning point that made the wedding feel different from the start.
