She recalled the newborn’s feet being almost the size of a soft toy bunny belonging to Sienna. She said she still did not have a precise medical explanation for why labour began early, only a few more answers than she had at first. Athena, she added, was then doing really well.

Beatrice later became a patron of Borne, a charity focused on research to prevent preterm birth and improve care for premature babies. She has said she wants families facing an early arrival to know they are not alone, and that more work is needed so fewer babies arrive too soon and those who do receive the best possible care.
